Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned that ongoing conflicts across the Muslim world risk permanently fracturing the unity of the global Islamic community. Addressing diplomats and foreign dignitaries, he urged Muslim nations to choose dialogue over confrontation before divisions become irreversible.
“History will judge us not by the conflicts we inherited, but by the peace we chose to build.”
The Prime Minister also praised Pakistan’s role in regional peace efforts, citing Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement, mediation initiatives, and decades-long participation in UN peacekeeping missions. He stressed that Pakistan’s foreign policy is rooted in stability — not strategic gain from instability.
The remarks signal Islamabad’s intent to position itself as a credible and neutral voice for peace within the Muslim world at a time of heightened regional tensions.
